Elsy Segovia is originally from El Salvador, arriving in the United States as a child. Always guided by her immigrant experience, she has devoted her life to helping others. She graduated cum laude from Drew University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. Shortly after graduating from college, she began working at a non-profit organization dedicated to helping immigrant communities from all over the world. For ten years, she worked alongside immigration attorneys who instilled values of working with compassion and an eye towards justice. Inspired by this work, attorney Segovia attended and graduated from Rutgers School of Law. She then founded her law firm in downtown Newark, NJ. The firm is guided by the basic core principle that all humans are created equal and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. With this in mind, attorney Segovia works tirelessly to regularize her clients’ immigration status.
